first edition; small octavo, [iv] 76 pp., later cloth soiled and stained, original paper wrappers bound in but worn and chipped with previous owner's names on both sides of front cover, the text is clean and on good quality paper; bound in is a small three page autograph letter, signed, from the author addressed "Dear Sir", dated 1903, and about his various writing projects "You are fortunate in having picked up a copy of my Horace lecture ... A very small number indeed of copies were printed.". Volumes
