Bertrand, 1826), first edition; folio (48.25 cm. tall), 94 (of 106) plates with 40 of them hand colored; later quarter morocco; binding rubbed and worn with front joint split and hinges cracked, ex library with a small hand stamp on the verso of every plate, one plate has tip broken off with no loss and a few have corner stain not touching image, no more than the usual age speckling, the paper cover is bound in but no title page present. The publisher calls for 115 plates with 25 of them colored but accounting for a bis plate, two that have duplicate numbers, and the twelve that were never issued, an ideal copy should have 106 plates. This copy lacks most of the plates at the very end but has the advantage of more color than is usually found.
